Caterpillar Craft Day

I meant to do this yesterday, but I wasn't feeling very well
ended up with a stomach bug
how a propos, considering we are doing 'bug week', eh?
LOL!

We made these two caterpillar crafts

for the first craft

we used toilet paper and paper towel holders cut into small sections that we painted fun colors

after they dried, we used a hole punch to punch holes on each side (except for the head and end, which only got one side punched)

and we tied string to each one to form a 'train'

they glued google eyes to the head and punched two small holes for the antennae

cute little caterpillar to play with

For the next project the boys painted lids to pop bottles several different colors

and yes, this was quite the messy craft...

we cut some green construction paper into the shape of a leaf

the boys glued their lids to it in the shape of a caterpillar and we drew antennae and eyes onto it.

I printed out some fun bug worksheets for Nathan to do from All Kids Network.com

We had so much fun this week and we still have more bugs to go through, so next week we will continue with bugs, before moving onto other fun themes.

Hope you are enjoying the summer so far and all the kids crafty fun!
