Apple Stamps

We have been working with apples a lot lately....

fall crafting is fun and the possibilities are endless.
I'm not sure if it's the nature, or the gorgeous colors, or the smells, or the cool weather that is so inspiring, but I just really love crafting with the kids in the fall.

We took some apples and cut them in half - some long ways so it looks more like an apple shape when you stamp with it and some in half sideways to show the star shape that is inside.

and then Nathan went to town.

he used light green, dark green, red and yellow paint.

he snacked on cut up apples while he worked on his masterpieces.

stamping with food and other things found in nature is a lot of fun...what would you use as a stamp?

fruit loop apple tree

september means....

fall
apples
pumpkins
leaves

we decided to make an apple tree today.

we used
brown paint
glue
red and green fruit loops

to make the tree and branches...

we painted nathan's  hand and part of his arm with brown paint

then nathan just glued red and green fruit loops to his tree

eating the other colored fruit loops
is optional ;)

nathan's cute little fall/apple tree

p.s. it smells yummy too!

marmar etsy shop....a review

when i first saw the marmar shop i squealed with delight.

i totally fell in love with all the super sweet charms, especially the cupcake ones.

you all know how much i love cuppycakes, so you can guess how much i love this charm necklace by marmar.

marmar is owned by mark poulin of oakland, california.

he combined his two favorite loves of drawing and metalsmithing and came up with his fun, cool, custom jewelry line. through a technique of drawing and wax carving, mark is able to cast his creations into sterling silver pieces.

he designs and handcrafts charms, bracelets, rings, glass tile necklaces, enamel cartoon jewelry, earrings, keychains, and even cute little button sized magnets (I received a super sweet cupcake one as well as the charm necklace).

just take a look at all the cuteness...

"starting with images from my sketchbook, i transform a drawing into a sterling, bronze, enamel, or glass treasure.  I'm satisfied if my final piece tells a story, touches your heart, or makes you smile."  ~mark poulin

not only does mark have the marmar etsy shop, but he also has two other shops called, marmarsuperstar and marmarmodern, also on etsy.

i totally adore my little cupcake charm....

i'm sure you'll fall in love with your very own little treasure from the marmar shop too.

be sure to check out his facebook page as well, for the latest news and updates about his shop.

*disclosure: I received this cute charm necklace and magnet from marmar for review purposes only.  the opinions herein are my own and were not influenced in any way.
